Initiation Fee:

There is a one time initiation fee of $300.00

 

Monthly Dues:

Dues are $25.00/month.  Members are encouraged to participate in active club projects and maintenance of club equipment.

 

  SSA Membership:

All AVSC members are required to join the Soaring Society of America at an annual cost of $64.00 per year.  The SSA membership includes a monthly subscription to Soaring Magazine.

  

Flight Instruction:

Flight instruction may be scheduled with CFI Instructor prior to the arrival at the airfield.  Any instruction fees are paid directly to the instructor at the end of each day of training.  AVSC does not receive any money for flight instruction.  Any tow fees, or  plane rental costs (if required) are also the responsibility of the student.

 

Towing Fees:

Shearline Aero provides all aero tows at Krey Field.  All AVSC members pay for their own tows.  Typical rates: 1500 ft. = $20.00    (1500 ft minimum tow) Plus $1.00 for each 100 ft. of additional altitude Two Pawnee tow planes assure reliable towing service year round.

Krey Field Details:

Main runway (Dirt) approx.  5,000 ft. long and 200 ft. wide Crosswind runway approx.  1,000 ft. long and 150 ft. wide No obstructions near to the airfield  (Desert environment) Runway is easily visible and recognizable from the air at all altitudes Very low count of local air traffic Prevailing winds normally blow near parallel to main runway 3 large wind socks are located next to airstrip 3,000 ft. airstrip elevation  Plane tie downs available next to airstrip for year round owner convenience Sailplane Trailer storage is also available
